PBIS Awards

Each year, the California Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Coalition (CPC) recognizes schools that effectively implement support for students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. The CPC has recognized and awarded Yucaipa-Calimesa schools for implementing the evidence-based, tiered framework outlined in PBIS. The highest award achievable, Platinum, was awarded to Calimesa Elementary School, Ridgeview Elementary School, Valley Elementary School, Mesa View Middle School, and Park View Middle School. At the same time, Chapman Heights, Dunlap, and Wildwood Elementary Schools received Gold, with Green Valley High School receiving Silver, and Yucaipa High School closing it out with Bronze.

“It is such an honor each year to have our schools recognized for doing an outstanding job implementing the PBIS framework. I am proud of each of our schools for progressing in award levels this year, and I especially want to highlight our five platinum award winners (our highest amount ever!). Thank you to the CPC for recognizing our students’ and employees' hard work and dedication,” said Cali Binks, Superintendent.
